Sermons on Acts (Page 7)

Spiritual Prayer
Acts 9:11 If we are to be useful to the Lord, we must be those who truly pray. We’ve seen that the Lord can only use those who are godly, but the godly are those whose lives are characterized by prayer. We consider twelve elements of spiritual prayer.

Walking with God in Difficult Times
Acts 14:1-22 In this message, we reflect on how to walk with God during difficult times (i.e. trials and tribulations).

The Diaconate Established
Acts 6:1-7 As the Lord continues to unfold the third stage in His plan of redemption, the church grows to the point where a specific appointment becomes necessary to take care of certain needs within the congregation.

The Outpouring of the Spirit
Acts 2:1-21 We see that after Jesus ascended into heaven, the next thing He did was to send His Spirit to empower His church to carry out the Great Commission.

The God Who May Be Known
Acts 17:16-34 We look at how to reach others with the Gospel, using the example of the apostle Paul.

Christ’s Coronation
Acts 5:27-32 We continue to consider the third phase of God’s work of redemption (the phase we are in now). We examine Christ’s resurrection and His ascension, and see how both of these events were necessary if God’s people were to be saved.

The First Day of the Week
Acts 20:1-7 Having seen that the Lord wants us to keep the Sabbath holy, we now consider on which day we should observe it.

The Price of Redemption
Acts 20:17-35 We begin to look at what Jesus did to purchase salvation for us.

Jesus Is Lord and Christ
Acts 2:22-36 Is there someone who will hold us accountable for the wrong we have done? Knowing from our consciences that the answer is yes, is there a way we can get out of paying for those wrongs?

Spiritual Bread
Acts 15:21 Resuming our series in the History of Redemption in Scripture, we see the link between personal and corporate revival on the one hand and the regular reading and application of Scripture on the other.

What Does It Mean to Believe?
Acts 16:31 In a day when many in the church are confused about the critical question of what saving faith actually is, we examine the three aspects of true faith (knowledge, assent and trust), before seeing the distinctive features of a saving faith.

The Sons of the Prophets
Acts 3:18-26 We consider „The Sons of The Prophets„, the school that the Lord established in the Old Covenant to reveal His coming and advance His work, increasing His light in order to prepare Israel for the coming of Messiah.
