The Promises of God

God Is Faithful

1 Corinthians 1:9 As we conclude our series on the Promises of God, we ask how it is that we can know we will receive the things God has promised to His people.

A New Heavens and Earth

2 Peter 3:13 If we are believers in Jesus, we are destined to inherit the Kingdom of God, the New Heavens and the New Earth, because of what the Lord has done for us in Christ.

Come, Inherit the Kingdom

Matthew 25:31-46 We consider the Day of Judgment, when those who put their trust in Jesus will enter Heaven and those who did not will be cast into the Lake of Fire.

You Will Be Raised Imperishable

1 Corinthians 15:42-44 If you are a believer, you have the redemption of your spirit now but not yet the redemption of your body. A time is coming, though, when your physical body will be transformed into the likeness of Jesus’ own glorious body.

No Fear in Death

Hebrews 2:14-15 If you are a child of God and you walk with the Lord in holiness, He will take away your fear of death.

Fruitfulness in Old Age

Psalm 92:12-15 We consider that if we will walk with the Lord, He will make us fruitful throughout our lives, even to old age.

He Intercedes for You

Romans 8:33-34 We consider the intercession of Jesus Christ. We’re not perfect – we need His righteousness to cover your imperfection, we need His death to pay for your sins, and we need His continuing ministry.

The Blessing of Discipline

Hebrews 12:3-14 We may not think of discipline as a blessing, but our passage shows us that it is. The Lord can use it to guide us when we choose to go down the wrong path, but He uses it to bring other blessings as well.

The Spirit of Power

2 Timothy 1:7 We consider another promise God makes to his children: protection. He will give us courage and will protect us as we work to do His will.
