Sermons from 2011
Revelation 2:8-11 We are encouraged to be faithful servants of our Lord so that we may receive crowns of life from Him.
Isaiah 40:11 We consider our Great Shepherd and His care for the sheep. We see that if you are in His flock, Jesus will: *Provide for you *Take pity on you *Preserve and protect you, and *Prevail in your salvation.
Ephesians 2:4-7 We consider three things regarding the blessing of resurrection from spiritual death to life.
Luke 2:10-11 We reflect on the greatness of the gift given to us – Jesus Christ. We see this by considering the value of the gift (Jesus), the motive of the giver (God) and how the gift perfectly meets the need of those to whom it is offered.
Ephesians 1:3-6 Another of the promises of spiritual blessing that God has given to His children is that He chose them before the world began to be holy and blameless and predestines them to be made like Christ and adopted into His family.
Mark 4:9-12 We consider the phrase, „He who has ears to hear, let him hear.„ Jesus wasn’t implying that there were a lot of physically deaf people present as He was speaking, He was saying there were some who could truly understand what He was saying.
2 Chronicles 7:10-16 The reason for many of our trials in this life is sin, so when we are faced with a trial, we should examine ourselves to see if we are in sin.
Luke 2:22-38 We consider the events after Jesus’ birth, and the general lack of excitement in and amongst the Israelites. He was treated as insignificant among His own people. Do you consider Him to be insignificant in your life?
Jeremiah 31:3 If you are walking with the Lord from the heart, the Lord loved you before you ever trusted in Him, before you were born, before the world was made, even from all eternity. He has always loved you and He always will.
Mark 4:1-20 The Parable of the Sower is the story of a farmer who goes out to sow his field in the hope of a good crop; but who sees different results in the different types of soil in his field. Jesus uses this to illustrate the possible results in evangelism.
We look at the example of Jesus to see how we should live whether we are men or women.
Romans 8:28-30 Moving on from our earlier consideration of the physical blessings that true believers, who walk with the Lord, have in Jesus Christ, we begin to look at the far greater spiritual blessings that are also theirs in Him.
