They Began to Speak the Word Boldly

Acts 4:32-37 Luke turns from the account of Peter and John before the Sanhedrin and the prayer meeting that followed to give us another encouraging glimpse of the unity, love and peace that the church was enjoying at this time.

There Is Salvation in No One Else

Acts 4:1-12 The preaching of Peter and John at the Temple, and the healing of the man born lame, caused a significant number to believe the Gospel and in response, the Apostles are arrested and put on trial by the rulers of the Sanhedrin.

In the Name of Jesus, Walk!

Acts 3:1-11 Having been empowered by the Spirit at Pentecost, the disciples now set out to preach the Gospel in obedience to Christ’s command. With this purpose in mind, they went to the temple at the afternoon time of prayer. There they found a lame beggar.

God Raised Him for You First

Acts 3:11-26 Peter indicates that the healing of the lame man should not have amazed the Jews and that it was not done through the power or piety of Peter and John but through the Name of Jesus.

God Has Made Him Lord and Christ

Acts 2:22-36 Peter continues his defense of the gospel by telling the Jews about Jesus. He tells them that: * The Jews rejected and murdered Jesus * Jesus was not dead but had risen again * God had made Jesus King, Judge, and the only means of salvation.

The Coming of the Spirit

Acts 2:1-13 When the Spirit came upon the disciples, it was not something the Lord wanted to keep a secret. He came on Pentecost, when Jews from the entire known world were in Jerusalem, and came in such a way that His coming would not go unnoticed.

The Last Days

Acts 2:14-21 Peter now interprets the outpouring of the Spirit which took place. We examine: * Paul’s defense of the disciples’ conduct * His confirmation that the event signals the start of the last days

The Upper Room

Acts 1:12-14 Having witnessed the ascension of Christ, we study the reaction of the disciples. We see: * Their immediate obedience in returning to Jerusalem to wait for what had been promised. * What they did in Jerusalem while they waited

Let Another Take His Office

Acts 1:15-26 As the disciples waited and prayed for the promised Holy Spirit, Peter realizes from Scripture that a replacement for Judas must be appointed.
